If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you’ve noticed that we reference sewer work a lot. Below is the second post in a four-part series that take readers through the process of completing sewer work from start to finish.
If you know that you’re in need of sewer work, contacting a plumbing contractor should be one of the first things you do. But ultimately you want to make sure your hire the right professional, so here are two things you should look for:
- Make sure the contractor is licensed, bonded and insured
- Make sure the contractors can do the ENTIRE job
Some companies only have equipment to diagnose the problem. That means they have equipment to find the problem (like camera equipment) and equipment to temporarily stop the problem (cleaning and jetting equipment.) There’s nothing worse than hiring a company and then hearing that you need to find someone else to finish the job. It slows down the entire project and puts your home at risk longer. Ask these questions first and you’ll save yourself from potential headaches down the road. In our next post, we’ll talk about what to expect when you’ve hired the right contractor!
